Fumigation Drive: Measures against dengue fever

Drive is being carried out in nine union councils; no case of dengue had been reported from Swat so far.

MINGORA: The district administration started an anti-dengue fumigation drive in different parts of Swat District on Friday to avert threats of dengue fever and malaria. The drive was launched at Rahimabad, Saidu Sharif and Mingora city. Swat Tehsil Administration spokesperson Muhammad Razzaq said that the drive was launched after reports of presence of dengue virus in some persons in Khyber-Pakthunkhwa and Punjab. He said the drive is being carried out in nine union councils, adding that no case of dengue had been reported from Swat so far.
