Supreme Court has issued the written verdict about rejection of PMLN candidate's appeal for recounting of votes in NA-97.
A five-page order was written by Naeem Akhtar Afghan.
According to the verdict, the applicant filed a request for the recounting of votes. After the rejection of the request by the returning officer, he filed a petition in the High Court and then ECP.
The court verdict stated no date was mentioned on Gohar Ali Khan's request nor did it carry his signature.
As per record, the final results were announced on February 10. In view of the facts, the ECP could not have given an order for recounting.
