Suspect confesses to killings over personal grudge

A man has been arrested on the charge of shooting dead three men and torching their corpses in a car in Nishatabad.

The victim had been shot dead in a vehicle near Dingro Bridge in Nishatabad on August 3 and their bodies had been burnt.

According to reports, the police arrested the suspect Zain alias Niko over his involvement in the murders.

The suspect said the fire had charred the bodies of the victims Maqbool Balu, Mohsin and Ejaz Pahlwa, making their identification impossible.

The Nishatabad police traced the suspect with the help of CCTV footage and arrested him.

The suspect reportedly confessed during interrogation that he had killed the three victims over personal enmity.

The police also revealed that several cases had been registered against the three victims.

During the investigation, the suspect disclosed that after killing the three, he had poured chemicals into the car and set it on fire.

The victims had been found dead after a fire broke out in a rental car near Dingro Bridge.

Rescue teams had doused the fire and transferred the charred bodies to a hospital.

According to local sources, the rental car had been given by a citizen, Qadeer, to his brother-in-law Maqbool. The three victims were in the car when it suddenly caught fire.

Passers-by had informed Rescue 1122 upon seeing the burning car.

Earlier on April 2, a man who was harassing a woman after entering her home in Madina Town area was allegedly burnt to death.

According to the police, Shaukat entered the home of a woman named Asima situated in Mohallah Rasool Park, Madina Town and started harassing her, which infuriated the woman.

She allegedly set the man on fire. He suffered severe burn injuries and died at a hospital.

The body was shifted to mortuary while the alleged murderer was taken into custody by Madina Town police.

The police collected forensic evidence from the crime scene.
