Amid Jennifer Lopez's ongoing divorce from Ben Affleck, sources reveal that Affleck has not maintained contact with Lopez's children, Max and Emme, 16, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. According to a source close to the situation, Lopez, 55, had previously spoken highly of Affleck's parenting, particularly his relationship with his children, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The source told PEOPLE, "Jennifer went out there and told the world what a great dad he was," emphasizing her admiration for Affleck's parenting. Despite this, the source notes that Affleck has not been in touch with Lopez's children since the couple's separation. In contrast, Lopez remains close with Affleck's children, attending Samuel's graduation in June and spending time with Violet during a July vacation in the Hamptons.

The source added, "She is especially close to his kids, but he has not seen her kids in a long time." Additionally, Lopez maintains a strong relationship with Marc Anthony's children from his previous relationship, showcasing her commitment to family ties.

Earlier this month, another source close to the couple shared that Affleck's rekindled romance with Lopez, culminating in their 2022 marriage, had helped him "become a family man again." However, with the divorce proceedings underway, both Affleck and Lopez are reportedly focused on ensuring their children's well-being remains a top priority.

In a 2021 interview with Good Morning America, Affleck reflected on his role as a father, stating, "I will be long dead and someone will ask my kids, 'What was your dad like?' and that is when I will know what my life was worth."
