Alexa Nikolas expressed her outrage on Instagram after discovering that a song by her alleged groomer was included in the official playlist for the It Ends With Us movie.
"I can’t say enough how disappointed I am in @blakelively and @itendswithusmovie," she wrote in an August 20 post.
"Not only has your rollout of this film been a complete disaster, but you also included my known abuser/groomer’s music in your film. There is physical evidence of him grooming me when he was 33 and I was 16. It’s easily accessible on the internet, sadly, since I was 16."
Fans quickly speculated that Nikolas was referring to her ex-husband Mike Milosh, a Canadian electronic musician known for his work with the pop group Rhye. Nikolas, who married Milosh at 19, filed a lawsuit against him in 2021, accusing him of sexual assault, domestic violence, and emotional distress, though she later dropped the case in 2022. Reflecting on their relationship in 2019, Nikolas shared, "Our age gap became very real to me. We’re 17 years apart. I met him at 18, I got married at 19, and my adult formative years were spent beside him, and I was being molded through his world. Since he was so much older than me, he had so many life lessons and experiences that I started to feel like they were my own, but they weren't."
Milosh has consistently denied the allegations and counter-sued Nikolas for damages, though his lawsuit was dismissed by a Los Angeles court. In her Instagram post, Nikolas also criticized the filmmakers for ignoring her past lawsuit against Milosh, stating, "I had to take on the emotional labor of exposing RHYE with evidence. It was a very public lawsuit that goes into great detail about what he did to me. Shame on this film."
