Suspect arrested, investigation launched in Badami Bagh

A domestic dispute in Lahore's Badami Bagh area escalated into an allegation of blasphemy, leading to unrest.

The incident reportedly began as a quarrel between the suspect and his wife, which took a grave turn when the man was accused of desecration.

Reports about the incident quickly spread through the neighbourhood, creating an atmosphere of fear and hostility.

A neighbour and the complainant, Affan Khan, stated that he heard loud noises coming from a house in Ittefaqpura.

Upon investigating, he allegedly saw the suspect involved in desecration following a dispute with his wife.

A large, agitated crowd gathered at the scene.

SP City Ali Qazi, along with DSPs and SHOs from neighbouring areas, deployed a heavy contingent of police to the area late in the night.

They arrested the suspect and took him away from the scene.

A big crowd gathered outside the house after the incident.

A case was registered against the suspect and the police launched an investigation.

The police also increased their presence in the area to prevent unrest.
