Four killed, five injured in roof collapse incidents

Several structures give way a day after heavy rain

At least four people, including a woman, were killed and five other injured due to incidents of roof collapse caused by overnight rain.

Rescue teams reached the spots, removed the bodies and the injured from the debris, and shifted them to hospitals.

According to the local sources, 18-year-old Wasif, 40-year-old Rizwan and 30-year-old Musawwir Ali died on the spot under the debris due to the collapse of the roof of a factory in Faisalabad on Friday. Another man, Rasheed, was injured in the incite. He was shifted to a hospital.

In another incident in Tandlianwala, the roof of a house collapsed, due to which 35-year-old Abida Bibi died under the debris.

Meanwhile, 40-year-old Sajida Bibi, 18-year-old Rizwan and 15-year-old Hira Ramadan were injured when the roof of a house collapsed on Aminpur Bypass. They were shifted to a hospital by a rescue team after providing urgent medical aid.

Whereas, 36-year-old Samira Bibi and 17-year-old Ali Haider got injured due to the collapse of the roof of a house on Jhumra road.

In Farooqabad, about 30 goats were buried under the debris when the roof of a shepherd's shed collapsed. Rescue teams reached the spot and took out the dead animals from the debris.
