George Clooney, 63, is taking a new approach to his acting career. In a GQ magazine cover story with his “Wolfs” co-star Brad Pitt, Clooney emphasized that “time allotment” is now a key factor in choosing his projects.

If he's going to spend half the year on a project, Clooney wants to avoid unnecessary stress. He stated that he only wants to collaborate with “people who like what they do.”

“The older you get, time allotment is very different,” Clooney said. “Five months out of your life is a lot. And so it’s not just like, ‘Oh, I’m going to go do a really good film, like “Three Kings,” and I’m going to have a miserable fuck like David O. Russell making my life hell. Making every person on the crew’s life hell.’ It’s not worth it. Not at this point in my life. Just to have a good product.”

Clooney starred in "Three Kings" with Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube. The 1999 film, set during the final stages of the First Gulf War, follows four American soldiers attempting a gold heist amid the chaos. The production was infamous for conflicts between Clooney and director Russell.

The long-running feud between Clooney and Russell on set has been widely reported. Clooney described Russell as having “yelled and screamed at people all day” during the filming of “Three Kings.” The situation escalated when Russell reportedly became physical with an extra, leading Clooney to confront the director. They eventually mended their relationship years later.

“Look, there came a time when I just said to him, ‘Is this going to go on forever?’ We’ve got to shake hands and let it go,” Clooney told ShowBiz 411 in 2014. “We put it behind us. And that’s great.”
