Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are celebrating more than just their relationship this weekend, as both actors have major movies dominating the box office.

Reynolds’ Marvel blockbuster "Deadpool & Wolverine" took the top spot with a $54 million domestic haul, while Lively’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s "It Ends With Us" followed closely with $50 million.

This achievement makes Lively and Reynolds the first married couple since Bruce Willis and Demi Moore in 1990 to claim the first and second spots at the box office with their respective films.

Since its July 26 release, "Deadpool & Wolverine" has raked in $494.3 million in U.S. theaters, making it one of the biggest films of the post-pandemic era.

Meanwhile, "It Ends With Us," a mid-budget film tackling the serious subject of domestic violence, has exceeded expectations with its impressive $50 million opening weekend.

Lively, who also served as a producer on the film, has faced some controversy during the promotional tour, with fans pointing out awkward moments and potential on-set tension between the cast and director Justin Baldoni.

Lively and Reynolds have come a long way since their 2011 box office flop "Green Lantern."

In 2024, they both appeared in the kids' film "IF," and Lively even made a cameo in "Deadpool" as Ladypool, Reynolds' character’s female counterpart.

This weekend’s success further cements their status as one of Hollywood’s most powerful couples.
