ISLAMABAD:

Supreme Court Justice Mansoor Ali Shah has entered a period of chamber work until August 23, according to sources.

Following this, there is speculation that he may go on leave.

On July 12, the apex court delivered a brief ruling in open court regarding reserved seats. The upcoming judicial week is expected to be important as the court may release a detailed majority verdict on the matter, sources said.

In preparation for the judicial week starting August 12, the Supreme Court has constituted two benches at the Islamabad Registry.

One bench, led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, will include Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan. This bench will hear cases during the week.

Another two-member bench, comprising Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel, will also be presiding over cases next week.

Additionally, a third two-member bench, consisting of Justice Aminuddin Khan and Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, will hear cases at the Supreme Court Registry in Quetta.
