Channing Tatum is still hoping to star in a "Gambit" movie, despite the project being put on hold after Disney and Fox merged in 2019. Tatum told Variety at the premiere of his new film "Blink Twice" that he has already told Marvel he wants to make the movie happen, and is praying to God that it will come to fruition.
Tatum also thanked Ryan Reynolds for his support in bringing Gambit to life, saying he will "owe him probably forever" for fighting for the character. The "Magic Mike" star praised Reynolds for his efforts, saying he was "literally screaming in the theater" after seeing the final product.
"Blink Twice", directed by Zoë Kravitz, is set to hit theaters on August 23 and stars Tatum as a billionaire tech mogul who takes his friends and a bevy of beautiful women to his private island, only for things to take a dark turn.
