Week 3 isn't even over yet, and we've already witnessed brewing rivalries, heated arguments, and major blindsides.
However, none of these may rival the dramatic veto meeting that wrapped up the August 7 episode, which has been one of the most eventful in the show's history.
Central to this drama is Tucker Des Lauriers.
As a prominent figure this season, the marketing and sales executive has been involved in some of the biggest storylines.
His rivalry with Lisa Weintraub played a significant role in her eviction. Tucker has willingly gone on the block twice and in tonight's episode, he attempted his most ambitious move yet.
After winning the veto, it was expected that Tucker would use it on himself to avoid eviction.
However, after learning from Kimo Apaka that Quinn Martin held another power, Tucker devised a bold new strategy.
He teamed up with HoH Cedric Hodges to implement a daring plan: using the veto on fellow nominee Angela Murray instead of himself.
Cedric would then nominate Quinn, having pretended to have no power.
During the eviction, Tucker planned to expose Quinn's deception, hoping to sway the house to vote him out.
At the veto ceremony, Tucker executed his plan.
With assurance, he rises and tells the houseguests, "I think this game is being played too safe.”
“It's Big Brother, expect the unexpected. Here you go, Angela."
It was as if a bomb had exploded in the house.
Shocked expressions were everywhere, including from Angela, who began to cry.
Tucker then adds, "You gotta the competitors out. It's what this game is all about."
Although Quinn is celebrating, he’s unaware that Tucker is counting on Cedric to follow through with his part of the plan.
Unfortunately, things didn't go as expected.
Instead of nominating a member of the "Pentagon," Cedric chose to nullify another power: Makensy Manbeck's.
Despite Makensy’s attempt to dissuade him by revealing her "America's Veto," Cedric proceeded with the consensus to remove her power.
Before Tucker could finish the ceremony, Makensy intervened, using America's Veto and introducing "Ainsley," the figure behind the "BB AI" theme.
She announced that, with the use of America's Veto, the third nominee would now be decided by fan votes rather than the HoH.
For those following the live feeds, it's clear that this veto meeting has set off more drama.
For now, fans have 12 hours to vote for who they want to see as the third nominee.
They can choose from the remaining houseguests who are neither already nominated nor safe: Cam, Chelsie, Joseph, Kimo, Leah, Quinn, Rubina, and T'kor.
