Indus running in medium-low flow: FFC

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that the Indus River was currently in a medium flood at the Chashma-Taunsa reach and in low flood at three locations - Tarbela, Kalabagh and Guddu.

According to the daily FFC report issued on Tuesday, the Kabul River was also flowing in low flood both at Warsak & Nowshera.

The other major rivers in the Indus River System — Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej — are flowing with normal discharges. The present Combined Live Storage of Tarbela, Mangla & Chashma is 9.718 million acre-foot (MAF) against a total live storage capacity of 13.354 MAF.
