Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's son Pax is on the road to recovery.
A source told People that the 20-year-old, who was hospitalized after an e-bike accident in Los Angeles, has been discharged from the ICU.
The source revealed: "Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy."
The source highlights that Pax and his mother, who remained with him throughout his hospital stay, "are deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders, and the outstanding medical care he received."
The source notes that Jolie, 49, continues to be by her son's side, while his siblings "have been visiting and helping," and emphasizes that "they are all very close."
Pax was hospitalized after the accident on Monday, July 29.
TMZ reports that law enforcement sources indicated Pax was not wearing a helmet while riding an e-bike in heavy traffic on Los Feliz Boulevard around 5 p.m. local time when the accident happened.
TMZ reported that he suffered a head injury and experienced pain in his hip.
The Los Angeles Police Department told People that a man in his early 20s was riding a scooter when the accident happened at 5:12 p.m. on July 29, and a serious traffic collision report was filed.
Besides Pax, Jolie and her former partner Pitt have five other children: Maddox, 22, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
