SUKKUR: Three policemen nominated in the murder case of Kainat Soomro’s brother have been suspended - of whom one has been arrested.

Kainat’s mother, Zakia, registered an FIR against seven suspects, including three station investigation officers (SIOs), Barkat Channa, Laiq Abbasi and Shaman Khosa, at the Mehar Police Station in District Dadu. SP investigation Qamar Aijaz Tarin suspended the three officers, of which SIO Khosa has been arrested, along with another accused, Ali Hasan. The remaining five accused, including two SIOs, are reported to have gone missing. Sabir Soomro was kidnapped from Dadu back on March 28. Sabir had also served nine months in prison in a case filed by their rival group, which Kainat’s family alleged was fictitious.
