Mustard, known for his distinct beats and collaborations, has never hidden his disdain for Drake.

This tension reached new heights on August 2nd when the producer unleashed a scathing Twitter rant targeting both the Toronto rapper and DJ Akademiks.

The outburst followed the release of Gordo's album, DIAMANTE, on the same day as Mustard's FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED, which Mustard believes was a deliberate move to overshadow his work.

"Drake is the Malcolm X of white people," Mustard tweeted, expressing his frustration at DJ Akademiks for hyping up Drake's recent hits "Sideways" and "Healing," produced by Gordo.

Mustard accused Drake of using bots to inflate the streaming numbers of these songs, dubbing them the "Nation of drizzlam."

The producer didn't stop there, tagging both Akademiks and Gordo in his tweets to ensure they saw his accusations.

"The bots tryna fade me," he tweeted, further stating, "Album sales are a form of white supremacy. You n**gas racist."

Mustard's anger stems from Gordo's album outselling his own by a small margin, with DIAMANTE selling 20K units in its first week compared to FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED's 18K.

Mustard's frustration is amplified by the personal nature of his latest album.

He described FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED as his most introspective release, even rapping on the outro to connect more deeply with his listeners.

"I started feeling like the records were becoming more soulful-leaning," he told XXL.

"It just kind of reminded me of like, me being a kid and different parts of Los Angeles."

It's clear that Mustard's recent comments reflect not only professional rivalry but also a deeply personal response to the perceived overshadowing of his work by Drake and Gordo's simultaneous release.
