LAHORE:

Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has sought reply from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director general on a plea against a fake video of Punjab Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari.

During a hearing regarding objections on the petition, the chef justice remarked that the photos attached with the application should have been removed.

The minister’s counsel told the court that the second objection to their application was that they should consult the FIA and they have filed a separate petition in this regard.

The court removed the objections of the registrar’s office and directed it to fix the application for hearing on Thursday.

Azma Bukhari had approached the LHC against her alleged fake inappropriate video. The applicant had made respondents the federal government, the FIA and PTI activist Falak Javed, alleging that she had shared the fake video.

The petition stated the activist had shared on July 24 the fake video on social media platform X, which had been shared by hundreds of people, damaging the reputation of the minister.
