After a spell of erratic weather with alternating rain and shine, Karachi finally received a significant rainfall, bringing a refreshing change to the city's atmosphere.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). Surjani Town recorded the highest rainfall with 33.5 millimetres, followed by Keamari with 20 millimetres, Masroor Base with 10 millimetres, Orangi Town with 7 millimetres, and Quaidabad with 1.5 millimetres.
The port city today is likely to remain cloudy from early morning, with residents awaiting more rain.

However, weather experts have reported that the monsoon system entered Pakistan from Gujarat, India is expected to bring light to heavy rainfall on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Rawalpindi Commissioner Amir Khattak has declared a rain emergency following the PMD's forecast of heavy rain in Rawalpindi for the next two days.
The Triple One Brigade's military unit has also been on alert, having assessed the low-lying areas of Nullah Leh, boats have been provided for potential rescue operations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also directed authorities to take all possible measures to protect lives and property amid heavy downpours across the country after urban flooding is forecasted in Northern and Northeastern parts of Punjab, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Gujrat, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, and surrounding areas.
Southern parts of Sindh, including Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Sanghar, S Benazirabad, and Karachi, also face urban flooding during the forecasted period.
