Actress Saoirse Ronan has married her long-term partner, Jack Lowden, in a secret ceremony held in Scotland.

The four-time Oscar nominee and her "Mary Queen of Scots" co-star tied the knot last weekend, as reported by the Sunday Independent.

The couple, who portrayed husband and wife in the historical film, exchanged vows in a private ceremony with attendees sworn to secrecy.

The register of Scottish Civil Marriages records that Saoirse Una Ronan married Jack Andrew Lowden at the Edinburgh Central Registrar’s Office.

The couple, who already share a €2.8m home in Islington, north London, and a puppy named Fran, had sparked engagement rumors last July when Jack shared a photo of Saoirse wearing a diamond engagement ring during a group hike.

The private couple, who have been together since filming "Mary Queen of Scots" in 2018, have consistently kept their relationship out of the public eye, often dodging questions about their romance during press tours.

Despite their discretion, they have occasionally shared glimpses of their life together on social media, confirming their relationship to fans.

In June, Jack posted a photo from Glastonbury music festival, showing him with his arms wrapped around Saoirse, and another image celebrating New Year's Eve.

Both actors are also producers on the upcoming film "The Outrun," set in Scotland and scheduled for release in September, in which Saoirse stars as the main character Rona.

Speaking about Saoirse after their collaboration on "Mary Queen of Scots," Jack described her as a "force of nature."

He told iNews, "The woman is a force of nature, on- and off-screen, and utterly fearless and a brilliant leader as well. My first love is actors, and when you're given a Ferrari like her, it's all about how you make everything good for the Ferrari to show off."
