Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar announced on Monday that the state will actively counter the malicious campaign against the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa, emphasizing that no one would be allowed to issue religious decrees against individuals.
Condemning the threats and instigations against the CJP, Tarar stated that the state is committed to curbing the spread of hatred within the country. He asserted that it is the state's responsibility to enforce laws and maintain peace.
Speaking at a press conference after a meeting with Ulema at the Commissioner's Office, Tarar reiterated that belief in the finality of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is a fundamental aspect of Islam. He highlighted the significant sacrifices made by Ulema in Pakistan.

The information minister also pointed out the historical contributions of the CJP's father, Qazi Esa, who was a close ally of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and played a crucial role in integrating Balochistan with Pakistan. He stressed that baseless and unauthenticated claims should not be entertained, and the campaign against the CJP is politically motivated and unacceptable.
He described the decree against the CJP as contrary to law, morality, and religion. Responding to media queries, Tarar mentioned that an FIR with terrorism and hate clauses has been registered against the offender.
Tarar also highlighted Pakistan's condemnation of the Gaza massacre and its call for justice for the victims, noting that Pakistan has provided relief goods to Gaza victims through multiple air and sea shipments.
Hanif Abbasi, present at the occasion, recalled the pivotal role of the youth in the ‘Khatam-e-Nabuwat’ movement. and emphasized that respect and love for the Prophet (SAAW) are intrinsic to the faith and cannot be subjected to arbitrary decrees. Abbasi thanked prominent Ulema and members of the Interfaith Harmony committee for their support.
