Four terrorists killed in Tank IBO

The security forces on Saturday killed four Khariji terrorists during a joint intelligence-based (IBO) operation in Tank District on reported presence of terrorists.

During conduct of the operation, after intense fire exchange, four Kharji terrorists of Fitna Al Khawarij were killed, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release said.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against Security Forces as well as abduction and target killing of innocent civilians, it said.

"Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji terrorist found in the area as Security Forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country," the ISPR said.

Also, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan's militants attacked an FC station last night, killing one member of the Frontier Constabulary and wounding five others.

According to local sources, the incident was reported last night in the central Kurram area at Surh Pul police station.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday appreciated the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army for carrying out a successful operation against terrorists in the Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The prime minister, in a statement, said that the brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army showed exemplary valor to eliminate four terrorists in the operation.

"The war against terrorism will continue till the elimination of terrorism in toto from the country. The whole nation stands by the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism," he remarked.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police station in district Kurram in which a Frontier Constabulary personnel embraced martyrdom.

Paying tribute to the martyr, the prime minister expressed his heartfelt condolence to his family members.
