A female worker from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), reportedly identified as Aneela Jutt, and others assaulted stage actor Tahir Anjum by storming his vehicle while he was passing by the party’s hunger strike camp outside the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday.
According to the FIR, the actor's clothes were torn, and he was threatened with death.
The police registered the case based on Anjum's complaint, naming PTI member Anila Riaz and her unidentified associates as the accused, and arrested the main culprit Aneela.
However, Aneela claimed that Anjum had been posting derogatory videos aimed at tarnishing PTI founder Imran Khan's reputation, labelling him a "terrorist."
Despite intervention from police and bystanders, Aneela continued her assault on Tahir Anjum, who eventually escaped.
Later, Anjum condemned the PTI workers' actions, denied posting derogatory videos about Imran Khan, and expressed anger over the endangerment of his children.
