Fox Business Network guest Alec Lace has sparked outrage following his controversial remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris, referring to her as the “original Hawk Tuah” girl.
Lace made these comments on July 5th, after President Joe Biden’s debate performance and before Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee. Comparing Harris to 22-year-old Hailey Welch, who went viral for discussing a sex act, Lace stated, “Kamala Harris, she is the original Hawk Tuah girl—that’s the way she got where she is, and the party is going downhill if it’s in her hands.”
The comments went viral after Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race, paving the way for Kamala Harris to run for president.
Despite immediate backlash, including Fox Business host Dagen McDowell calling the remarks “harsh,” Lace doubled down instead of apologising.
Lace took to X, formerly Twitter, and posted, “Did I go too far on FOX News calling Kamala Harris the OG Hawk Tuah girl or am I right over the target?”

Harris is facing increased scrutiny, with Tucker Carlson comparing Harris to dictator Pol Pot. Republicans are also targeting her past relationship with former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown, while Donald Trump has dubbed her “Laughing Kamala” in his usual style of disparaging nicknames.
