Hailey Bieber has announced her pregnancy, choosing to share the news to enjoy her experience more openly. In an interview with W Magazine published on Tuesday, Bieber disclosed that she and her husband, Justin Bieber, are expecting their first child. The couple, married for six years, revealed the news on their Instagram pages in May, posting photos of Hailey showcasing her baby bump.
Hailey explained her decision to share the news, stating, "But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good." She further added, "I just wanted the freedom to go out and live my life."
Currently in her third trimester, Bieber shared that she managed to keep her pregnancy a secret until she was six months along because she did not start showing until then. "I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time. I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant… I was able to wear big jackets and stuff," she said.
As they prepare for the arrival of their baby, Hailey and Justin are cherishing their remaining time as a family of two. Hailey reflected on the emotional journey of her pregnancy, saying, "In the beginning, it was super emotional for me. Like, ‘I love this human so much. How can I possibly bring someone else into this?’ I’m trying to soak in these days of it being Justin and me, just the two of us."
