The Tampa Bay Rays and St. Louis Cardinals both performed Trump-inspired celebrations during their games on Sunday, coinciding with President Joe Biden's announcement of his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.

During the Rays' 6-4 victory over the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium, infielder Taylor Walls celebrated reaching second base by raising his hand and shouting "fight, fight, fight," believed to reference former President Donald Trump's reaction to being shot at last weekend in Pennsylvania.

Similarly, the Cardinals adopted a Trump-inspired celebration in their game. These gestures from both teams came on a significant day in U.S. politics, marked by Biden's decision to exit the presidential race.

In the game, the Rays hit four home runs, improving their record to 50-49 and moving 4.5 games behind the final wild card spot. The Yankees, now 59-42, are 2.0 games behind the division lead.
