Hwang Jung Eum revealed to be dating professional basketball player

Hwang Jung Eum’s agency confirmed that she is in a relationship with basketball star Kim Jong-kyu.

On July 22, reports emerged that Hwang Jung Eum is currently dating a professional basketball player. 

The news was confirmed by the media, revealing that Eum has developed a romantic relationship with the sports figure. Her agency, Y1 Entertainment, responded to the announcement with a brief statement.

“Hwang Jung Eum and the basketball star have developed mutual affection recently. They are still carefully getting to know each other.”

Eum, who previously married Lee Young Don in 2016, has two children with him. Earlier this year, she filed for divorce from Lee Young Don for the second time. The couple had previously reconciled in July 2021 after an initial separation. 

Eum’s recent divorce filing was described as a decision made after considerable reflection, stating, “After much deliberation, Hwang Jung Eum decided that it is no longer possible to maintain her marriage and is in the process of filing for divorce.”
