Andre 3000, celebrated for his groundbreaking work with Outkast, is charting a new course in his music career, trading rap verses for jazz flute melodies.

During a revealing episode on HBO's 'The Shop,' Andre discussed his transition from a rap phenom to exploring the realms of jazz with his album 'New Blue Sun.'

Despite his legendary status in hip-hop, Andre confessed his novice status with the flute, embracing the freedom of not mastering the instrument yet.

"I don’t know what notes I’m playing, to be completely honest," he shared, highlighting his journey of musical discovery rather than technical expertise.

Andre also addressed previous comments about moving away from rap as he aged, clarifying that while he supports artists who continue, his own passion for traditional rapping has waned.

He remains open to returning to rap under the right inspirational circumstances but is currently focused on expressing himself in new and innovative ways through jazz.
