Varsity expels three pupils for harassment

The Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University’s vice chancellor has expelled three students from the Food and Science Technology department following an investigation into the sexual harassment allegations involving two students at the government hostel of the university.

The decision to expel students was made on the recommendations of the university’s Discipline Committee, which has issued an official notification regarding the matter.

According to the university’s administration, the disciplinary committee of the university has completed its investigation into the charge. As a result, three students have been expelled, and their degrees, enrolments and results have been cancelled.

The expelled students, Muneeb Ahmed, Muhammad Aneeb Ayaz and Saad Wahab, were in the final semester of the Food Science and Technology Department. They have been arrested by the Sadiqabad police. A case was already registered against them.

The University Inquiry Committee has granted the expelled students the right to appeal the decision. University sources said that the three students were members of a political party on the campus.
