LAHORE:

A division bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday discharged PTI activist Sanam Javed in a case registered against her in Gujranwala following the May 9, 2023 riots.

The bench, led by Justice Asjad Javaid Ghural, discharged the accused after the law officer failed to prove her connection to the offenses outlined in the first information report (FIR).

The petitioner’s lawyer, Ali Mian Ashfaq, contended that this was the eleventh FIR registered against Sanam, adding that she was on bail in most of the cases while the rest had been discharged by the courts.
