Punjab's first climate change policy has been prepared and will soon be sent to the cabinet for approval, announced Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb on Wednesday.
The policy outlines both long-term and short-term measures to combat environmental pollution and smog over the next ten years.
A review meeting on the climate change policy was chaired by Minister Aurangzeb, who emphasized the importance of adhering to a strict timeline for the policy's implementation.
She confirmed that funds have been allocated for this initiative, which was developed through consultations with government and private stakeholders.
