Speculation is mounting about the possible permanent relocation of former Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma to London, fuelled by recent developments.

Kohli, who led India to victory in the T20 World Cup finals against South Africa and subsequently announced his retirement from T20 cricket, has been seen departing for London after the tournament to reunite with Anushka and their children.

Their connection to London deepened with the birth of their second child, Akaay, in the city. The couple spent about two months in London before Kohli returned to India for cricket commitments. Anushka later joined him but maintained a low profile, requesting privacy for their children.

Speculations intensified when Kohli, after meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 4th July, was spotted at Mumbai airport the next day, reportedly heading to London. Anushka and the children have remained in London, further fuelling rumours of their potential relocation.

In a recent interview, Kohli expressed his desire for a quiet life away from the public eye post-retirement, stating, "Once I am done, then I will go away and not be seen by anyone. For now, I want to give my all to cricket."

The couple, who married in a private ceremony in Italy in December 2017, have balanced their high-profile careers with personal milestones, including the births of their daughter Vamika in January 2021 and son Akaay in February 2024.

Their frequent visits and extended stays in London have sparked speculation about their intentions to make the city their permanent home.
