Crazy Frog, who had a No. 1 hit in 2005 with a dance version of the "Axel F" theme song, returns in a new promo for the Netflix film "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F." The promo features Crazy Frog alongside Eddie Murphy's title character, causing chaos in key scenes from the action-comedy movie.

Netflix shared the promo on its official X (formerly Twitter) account, with the message, “CRAZY FROG AND AXEL FOLEY???” T-Mobile responded, calling Crazy Frog “The GOAT of ringtones,” to which Netflix replied, “Invented ringtones.”

Crazy Frog, created by Erik Wernquist in 2003 and initially marketed by ringtone provider Jamba!, rose to fame with a rendition of the "Axel F" theme, composed by Harold Faltermeyer for the 1984 film "Beverly Hills Cop." The track topped charts in the U.K., Australia, France, and other countries in 2005.

A description of the new promo on Crazy Frog's YouTube page reads, “Axel F and ‪@crazyfrog‬ have been an iconic duo since 2005. Crazy Frog is back with a new music video for the Netflix Film Beverly Hills Cop.”

Directed by Mark Molloy, "Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F" is currently streaming on Netflix. The film stars Eddie Murphy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Taylour Paige, and Kevin Bacon. Molloy emphasized the importance of the film’s music in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying, “For me, the music of the Beverly Hills Cop franchise has so much of the identity and the tone of the films. It’s so critical. We’ve got the score and all of those needle drops in Axel F, which is all a huge part.”
