Jason Priestley and wife Naomi Lowde-Priestley are advocating for the transformative effects of Pilates, attributing it to both physical rehabilitation and mental well-being.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 2, Naomi, 48, shared insights into their motivation behind launching Studio Pilates International in Nashville.
She discussed her personal experience with Pilates, noting its rigorous focus on core strength, which proved essential in her recovery from a back injury. Naomi, a certified NASM CPT and Pilates instructor, highlighted the method’s role in correcting muscle imbalances and alleviating chronic pain.
Jason, 54, echoed her sentiments, recounting his own journey with Pilates following a severe back injury in 2002.
The Beverly Hills, 90210 star affirmed that Pilates significantly improved his core strength and provided essential support for his spine, reinforcing his doctor’s recommendation.
The couple, married since 2005 and parents to Ava, 17, and Dashiell, 14, relocated to Nashville in 2021. They seized the opportunity to establish a community-focused Pilates studio, set to open this autumn.
Jason praised Naomi’s initiative in selecting Studio Pilates International, renowned for its innovative approach combining visual audio technology with personalised instruction.
Naomi emphasised the inclusivity of their classes, tailored to accommodate diverse fitness levels and schedules. With features like custom reformers and interactive TV screens for guided workouts, the studio aims to deliver a safe and effective exercise experience.
“We’re excited to bring this scientifically-backed workout to Nashville,” Naomi remarked. “It’s designed for everyone, from seniors to elite athletes, ensuring a rewarding fitness journey.”
