Anthony Michael Hall, a prominent figure in the Brat Pack era, has shed light on his decision not to participate in Andrew McCarthy's recent documentary, "Brat Pack." In an interview with TV Insider, Hall expressed his support for the project and acknowledged McCarthy's successful career, but emphasized his own desire to focus on new endeavors and move forward.
Hall, who rose to fame with iconic roles in John Hughes' films like "Sixteen Candles" and "The Breakfast Club," explained that while he appreciates the Brat Pack era, he doesn't want to dwell on the past. He remains complimentary of McCarthy and the other members of the group, wishing them all success.
The documentary, released in June, explored the Brat Pack's rise to fame and their individual experiences with the label. Some members, like Demi Moore, have expressed their dislike for the term, while others, like Hall, remain indifferent. Hall revealed that he hadn't yet watched the documentary and pointed out that he wasn't included in the original New York Magazine article that coined the term.
Despite his absence from the documentary, Hall continues to embrace his Brat Pack legacy while actively pursuing new projects in his acting career. He recently guest-starred on an episode of FX's "The Bear" and has a diverse filmography spanning various genres.
