Heidi Klum's Golden Buzzer moment on AGT brings 9-year-old singer’s grandma to tears

The AGT judges and audience were moved by Klum’s immediate golden buzzer for 9-year-old Pranysqa Mishra.

Heidi Klum pressed the Golden Buzzer on "America's Got Talent"  for 9-year-old Pranysqa Mishra from Tampa, Fla., who wowed the audience with her rendition of Tina Turner's "River Deep — Mountain High." 

Inspired by her grandmother, Pranysqa's powerful vocals earned praise from judges Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara.

"I mean, I did not expect that," Klum exclaimed after Pranysqa's performance. With emotions running high, Klum decided to press the Golden Buzzer, sending Pranysqa straight to the next round of the competition. 

Live on stage, Klum facilitated a heartwarming video call between Pranysqa and her tearful grandmother, sharing the joyous news.

While Klum took the spotlight for her Golden Buzzer choice, the judges also commended other acts of the night. Sebastian and Sonia impressed with their daring dance and aerial performance, earning praise for their skill and chemistry. 

Meanwhile, a boy band aiming to revive the legacy of Menudo faced a mixed reaction from the panel, with Simon Cowell urging them to make significant improvements for their next appearance.

As auditions continue on Tuesday nights through July 23 on NBC, followed by streaming on Peacock, the anticipation builds for the upcoming live shows starting August 13.
