Months after Matthew Perry's death, details about his finances have come to light.
Court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, July 2, reveal the actor had $1.59 million in his personal bank account at the time of his death, along with assets held in a trust. The "Alvy Singer Living Trust," named after a Woody Allen character, includes unspecified assets with Perry's parents and half-sister listed as beneficiaries.
Perry's death on October 28, 2023, was caused by the acute effects of ketamine, with drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors. Authorities are investigating the source of the ketamine, with potential charges expected.
In honor of Perry's legacy, The Matthew Perry Foundation has been established to support individuals struggling with addiction. The foundation aims to carry forward Perry's commitment to helping others and making a difference in their lives.
