During Sunday's BET Awards, Usher was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, marking his 30th year in the music industry.

The ceremony at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles featured a star-studded tribute with performances of his hits by Teyana Taylor, Keke Palmer, Childish Gambino, and others.

In his unscripted acceptance speech, Usher became emotional, sharing personal reflections that included moments of passion and a brief lapse into cursing, which were unfortunately muted due to what BET described as an "audio malfunction."

Despite the technical hiccup, Usher's heartfelt message resonated as he removed his glasses to speak earnestly about overcoming challenges, honoring influential figures in his career like Babyface and Jermaine Dupri, and advocating for forgiveness.

A BET spokesperson conveyed apologies to Usher, emphasizing their gratitude for his contribution to the awards show.

They assured fans that the full, uninterrupted speech would be available on BET's platforms, including the encore broadcast.

Usher concluded his speech by urging forgiveness and resilience, reflecting on personal growth and the transformative power of forgiveness in his own life. His words struck a chord with the audience, reaffirming his status as a global icon and a significant figure in music history.
