Omar Apollo has revealed details about his highly anticipated collaboration with actor Pedro Pascal on his upcoming album, "God Said No." The track, titled "Pedro," features a spoken word segment by Pascal, adding a unique element to the song.
In an interview with ABC News, Apollo explained that he asked Pascal to speak about a personal experience related to grief, which was then incorporated into the track. Apollo shared, “I thought it’d be a really good idea for him to speak on like a grief in his life or a story in his life. He sent me a voice memo, I asked him to, and then chopped it up and that’s how it turned out.”
Pascal, known for his roles in "The Last Of Us" and "Narcos," shared a deeply personal story in the spoken verse. He recounted a difficult period during the second wave of COVID-19 in Europe, describing feelings of being shattered and seeking solace.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating this collaboration since Apollo hinted at it on social media, revealing part of the lyrics and Pascal's involvement. The album, "God Said No," is set to be released on June 28
The collaboration has generated significant buzz, with fans excited to see how Pascal's contribution enhances Apollo's music.
