Govt to maintain stringent security in Muharram

PESHAWAR:

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government will provide fool-proof security during the month of Muharram and ensure uninterrupted power supply on Ashura.

A high-level meeting was held on Wednesday under the chair of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary. Inspector General of Police Akhtar Hayat Khan, the additional chief secretary home & tribal affairs, member Board of Revenue, concerned secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, security officials, and other officers participated in the meeting to review the security arrangements during Muharram.

At the beginning of the meeting, a detailed briefing was given to the participants by Additional Chief Secretary Home & Tribal Affairs Department Muhammad Abid Majeed.
