A two-member team from the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the UAE, led by Abdullah Al Kaabi, Senior Director of Avsec Affairs, has commenced an aviation security (Avsec) assessment at Islamabad International Airport (IIAP).
The assessment, focusing on security measures for flights to the UAE, is part of ongoing collaborative efforts between GCAA-UAE and Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) to elevate aviation security standards in the country.
The visit underscores the UAE's commitment to bolstering Pakistan's aviation security through capacity building and capability enhancement.

The meeting marked the beginning of the three-day assessment ending on June 27. The team will inspect the implementation of various security standards at the airport, focusing particularly on measures for flights to the UAE.
Hosted by the Aviation Security Directorate of PCAA, the assessment continues the collaborative efforts between GCAA-UAE and PCAA aimed at elevating aviation security standards across Pakistan.
