Prince, David Beckham headline Hollywood Walk of Fame's star-studded class of 2025

In television, honorees include Fran Drescher of ‘The Nanny’ fame as well as ‘Gilmore Girls’ star Lauren Graham

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is set to shine even brighter next year with a fresh wave of illustrious stars. On Monday, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce unveiled its selections for the 2025 honorees. As per Deadline, the roster includes notable figures such as Jane Fonda, David Beckham, Fran Drescher, Alan Cumming, and the late Prince.

Leading the 2025 honorees in the motion picture category, alongside Jane Fonda, are some of the most acclaimed names in the industry. The lineup features legendary filmmaker John Carpenter, Academy Award-winning actor Jessica Chastain, veteran actor-director Bill Duke, horror icon Robert Englund, director Emilio Estevez and producer Toni Vaz. Acclaimed actors Colin Farrell, Nia Long, Lisa Liu and Glynn Turman are also on the lineup. 

In television, the Walk of Fame will honour Drescher, known for her iconic role in The Nanny, as well as Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham, science communicator Bill Nye, comedian and actor Molly Shannon, talk show host Sherri Shepherd, actor Courtney B Vance, journalist Chris Wallace, and South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who will share a special double ceremony.

The music world will also see a diverse group of honorees. Fantasia, Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, Green Day, The Isley Brothers, Busta Rhymes, George Strait, Keith Urban and WAR are all set to receive stars for their contributions to the recording industry.

Alan Cumming and Misty Copeland will be celebrated for their achievements in theatre, while David Beckham and Orel Hershiser will be honoured for their contributions to sports. Adam Carolla will receive recognition for his work in radio.

The announcement was made by Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Steven Nissen in a live press conference. Joining him were Walk of Famers Niecy Nash, Joe Mantegna, and Jimmy Jam, who celebrated the incoming class. “Each honoree truly embodies the essence of excellence in their respective fields,” said Walk of Fame Selection Panel Chairman Peter Roth.

While the honorees have been selected, they must schedule their ceremonies within the next two years to officially receive their stars. The Selection Panel’s choices were ratified by the Chamber’s Board of Directors, ensuring that the 2025 class reflects a broad spectrum of talent and achievement.
