As he gears up for his commentator role at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Snoop Dogg tested his own athletic prowess by joining a 200-meter trial run in Oregon last weekend.
The iconic rapper and Death Row Records boss donned a Team USA shirt honoring the late Kobe Bryant and American flag-themed pants as he lined up alongside athletes like Ato Boldon and Wallace Spearmon.
Despite finishing in third place with a time of 34.44 seconds, Snoop Dogg was content with his performance.
"34.44 for a 52-year-old? Ain’t bad," he remarked post-race.
The event took place at Hayward Field, a highlight of the #TrackFieldTrials24, and saw Snoop giving his all on the track.
Shortly after the race, Snoop returned to his commentator duties, providing lively commentary during the steeplechase run.
His enthusiastic observations included, “Oh he’s jumping on top of the hurdle. You can do that?! That was a cold trick right there. I like that one. Went off the tippy-top.”
Snoop Dogg's commentary has become a beloved feature of his public persona, particularly following his viral stint with Kevin Hart during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
The pair's humorous take on the equestrian events left fans in stitches and eager for more.
Looking forward to the Paris games, Snoop is especially excited about meeting a notable Olympic participant. "I’m going to meet the horse in real life," Snoop Dogg shared during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
"He’s the returning champ. So I got to go meet him—you know what I’m saying?—and let him know I’m a big fan."
