Karen Spencer, the estranged wife of Earl Charles Spencer, has shared a heartfelt message on Instagram following their divorce announcement.
In her statement, she expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support she has received, while acknowledging that she is still processing the news.
The statement accompanied photos from a summer solstice gathering at Althorp estate, the Spencer family home. Charles Spencer, the younger brother of the late Princess Diana, had previously confirmed the couple's split in an interview, expressing sadness and wishing Karen happiness in the future.
The couple, who met on a blind date in 2010 and married a year later, share a daughter named Charlotte Diana. Charles Spencer has children from two previous marriages as well.
This marks the first public statement from Karen since the news of their separation broke.
