Actress Dakota Johnson experienced a wardrobe malfunction during her appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Wednesday while promoting her new film "Daddio." The incident occurred when the sole strap of her black midi dress broke during a trailer break. When the cameras resumed, Johnson was seen holding the strap with both hands.
Host Jimmy Kimmel addressed the situation, saying, “That is Dakota Johnson and Sean Penn in 'Daddio.' The front of your dress just came unhooked.” Both Kimmel and Johnson laughed, with Kimmel offering, “Are you alright? Should I get some Scotch tape?”
Johnson remained composed, responding, “My dress just, it just fell off,” while holding up the strap, which had her microphone pinned to it. Despite her efforts to fix the dress, she eventually decided, “Well, I’ll just hold it.”
Kimmel then shifted the conversation to the film "Daddio," which features Sean Penn as a taxi driver named Clark who drives Johnson's character, Girlie, from JFK to her Manhattan apartment. “Yeah,” Johnson replied, distracted as she tried to keep her microphone in place. She then placed both hands on her chest and smiled awkwardly before the pair laughed again. “The movie is really good,” she added.
Throughout the interview, Johnson continued to hold onto her dress, frequently adjusting the broken strap to prevent it from slipping. At one point, she apologized, saying, “Sorry, geez,” as she fixed the dress again, prompting laughter from Kimmel.
