KARACHI:

Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab stated that those who took the oath to serve the people are actively working in the field.

"Critics can continue to criticise, but we focus on our work and execute it efficiently," he said while supervising the offal collection operations in various city areas during the Eid days.

On the occasion of Eidul Azha, 99 collection points were established across various city areas of the city, where municipal staff gathered animal waste. "I salute the municipal staff for their efforts; they deserve appreciation for their hard work. Ignoring their efforts would be wrong," Wahab emphasised.

He mentioned that daily, more than 10,000 tons of garbage is collected from Karachi, and within three days, 100,000 tons of offal and waste were removed.
