Ricky Gervais mocks Justin Timberlake over DWI arrest

Comedian jokes about singer's drunk driving arrest, sharing a cheeky post on X.

Ricky Gervais could not resist making a joke about Justin Timberlake's recent arrest for allegedly driving while intoxicated. 

The comedian recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to comment on the situation.

The 'What Goes Around... Comes Around' singer, 43, who has sold 54 million albums and won ten Grammy Awards, was arrested in Sag Harbor, Hamptons. A 'glassy-eyed' mugshot of Timberlake was released after his arrest.

The Suffolk County District Attorney confirmed Timberlake's arrest on June 18, 2024, for Driving While Intoxicated and announced his arraignment. TMZ reported that police detected alcohol on Timberlake's breath and he failed the field sobriety test. 

Despite his friends' attempts to intervene, Timberlake was charged with DWI, running a stop sign, and failing to stay in his lane. His court date is set for July 26, coinciding with the European leg of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour in Krakow, Poland.
