Jason Momoa shares rare insight into relationship with Adria Arjona at 'The Bikeriders' premiere

Jason Momoa opens up about his passion for motorcycles and new love Adria Arjona.

Jason Momoa shared a rare comment about his girlfriend, Adria Arjona, at the Los Angeles premiere of "The Bikeriders" on Monday, June 17. The 44-year-old actor told Entertainment Tonight that Arjona enjoys riding on his motorcycle. "My lady likes to ride," Momoa said, adding, "Any excuse for more hugs."

Momoa also discussed his passion for riding motorcycles, explaining that he takes his bikes with him when traveling for work. "I travel everywhere and bring my bikes wherever I go when I'm shooting," he told ET. "It just fits with my DNA. Instantly, when I get on, everything just kind of goes away. I'm really focused. I don't think about anything else, 'cause you gotta be on it."

The "Aquaman" star went Instagram official with Arjona, 32, on May 20, sharing photos from a trip to Japan. In the images, Momoa is seen cuddling with Arjona while thanking everyone for their hospitality during the filming of his Max travel docuseries, "On the Roam." He captioned the photos, "Japan, you are a dream come true you blew my mind. We’re so thankful for everyone who opened their homes, making memories with new friends and old friends, sharing another amazing adventure with mi amor."

Momoa confirmed his relationship status on May 11 during an appearance at a Comic Con festival in Basingstoke, England. Although he did not reveal Arjona's name at the time, a video from the event posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) showed him teasing that her identity would "soon" be revealed.

An insider recently told PEOPLE that Momoa's relationship with Arjona is "genuine." The source said, "He cares about her. It's real. She's good to him — and a lovely and genuine person and real like he is. She has a good sense of humor and is easy to be with. They relate to each other."

Momoa finalized his divorce from Lisa Bonet in January 2024. The former couple, who married in 2017, announced their split in January 2022. They share son Nakoa-Wolf, 15, and daughter Lola, 16. Following his breakup from Bonet, Momoa was in a relationship with actress Eiza González, but the two split in June 2022 after dating for a few months.
