Ashley Benson is addressing accusations that she used Ozempic to lose weight after her pregnancy.
On June 17, Benson, 34, responded to social media comments alleging she used the type 2 diabetes drug for weight loss following the birth of her daughter in February. This reaction came after she posted a mirror selfie earlier that day.
In the Instagram photo, Benson posed in a dressing room, wearing a red cap, sunglasses, black tank top, and gray sweatpants. She captioned the shot, “My fav hat.”
The photo sparked comments about her appearance. One user wrote, “How was she JUST pregnant?!?” Another person responded with a photo of an Ozempic advertisement, suggesting the drug was the reason for her weight loss.
“Comments like this are so funny to me,” Benson wrote, reposting the comments with the Ozempic photo on her Instagram Stories.
“I know a lot of people take Ozempic and that's totally fine. To each their own. But don't discredit people who also work very hard to get their body back like I've done with mine,” the Pretty Little Liars star continued.

“Getting back to work forced me to focus on my health and working out and I wanted to feel confident and good about myself. And again couldn't do this without my @melissawoodtepperberg app,” Benson concluded, tagging the health and wellness app.
Benson and her husband, Brandon Davis, announced the birth of their daughter on February 29. PEOPLE confirmed the couple was expecting their first child in the same month they were confirmed to have married in July 2023.
Benson spoke about new motherhood at the VIP launch event for the CYBEX by Jeremy Scott Car Collection in Los Angeles on June 5.
“I’m a new mom, so that’s been very fun,” she told PEOPLE earlier this month.
The star added that her baby girl already loves dressing up, saying, “Oh my God, it's so much fun. She's mostly in little cute onesies and stuff, but we're taking her on vacation at the end of the summer, so I have all of her little dresses and the accessories. I mean, it's so much fun,” adding, “Having a girl is the best.”
