Chrissy Teigen has voiced her concerns about the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the White House, particularly after her infamous 2019 tweet where she called the former president and convicted felon a "p---y a-- b--ch."

Speaking at Cannes Lions, Teigen admitted, “It’s kind of scary because it’s, ‘Oh, he’s aware of me’. What could really happen because of that? We obviously know he’s unhinged, but could he actually come after you in other ways? It’s a weird feeling.”

Teigen's remark came after Trump insulted her husband, John Legend, as a "boring musician" and referred to her as his "filthy-mouthed" wife in a tweet.

Teigen responded by mocking Trump for tagging everyone in his tweet except her.

In early 2022, a former Twitter employee, Anika Collier Navaroli, testified that Trump's White House had requested Teigen's tweet be removed, though Twitter declined the request.

Navaroli recalled, “We had received a request from the White House to make sure that we evaluated this tweet, and that they wanted it to come down because it was a derogatory statement directed towards the president.”

Teigen described the moment as a "career highlight" during her appearance at Cannes Lions, where she and Legend discussed their political activism with journalist and podcaster Kara Swisher.

Legend emphasized their commitment to preventing Trump from returning to office, stating, "We’re going to support President Biden."

The Grammy-winning artist has a history of political involvement, having supported the Democratic nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2020 election cycle, performing with Common at a rally in Philadelphia. Legend also campaigned for former President Barack Obama.
