Did Joe Alwyn ever visit the London pub Taylor Swift mentions in The Black Dog?

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn broke up in April 2023 after dating for six years.

In a conversation with The Sunday Times, the 33-year-old actor discussed his leisure activities, and the pub referenced by his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, 34, in her song “The Black Dog” was mentioned.

“It probably looks pretty similar to yours, or anyone’s — seeing friends, traveling, going to the pub,” he said of his leisure time, adding. “Can I make a more boring list?”

He was then asked if his preferred pub was The Black Dog in Vauxhall, London. The ‘Kinds of Kindness’ actor denied ever having been to the pub that Swift mentioned on her latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department.’

“I’ve never been to Vauxhall,” Alwyn said. The publication noted that when he answered, he was “smiling a smile that hints that there is more to say.”

Although some tracks on Swift's latest album are rumored to be about her six-year relationship with Alwyn and their breakup, fans believe "The Black Dog" is related to another ex: Matty Healy.

Alwyn and Swift were first romantically connected in May 2017 and dated until April 2023.
